Packers 2025-26 Season Thread

Watson makes a huge difference when he's out there, those stretches he had in 2022 and 2023, I don't remember the last time I saw a Packers WR have that much gravity on the field and that includes Adams. We know his weaknesses by now - he gets dinged, he doesn't fight for the ball consistently, route tree is limited - but when he's out there the offense is different. Golden can play that role right now and going forward, and I think Golden can be much better in the short game as well, he's a more well rounded receiver. But I would be thrilled to have two guys who can fill that Z receiver role.

The fact he’s just one injury after another though. Eventually you just have to say enough.
Probably after this season. GB lets him test the FA market and unless he would take a cheap one year deal to come back to GB this is probably it for him in GB.

I hate to burst the bubble here, but at some point, those injuries take away his step, and he still needs to catch the damn ball. You can't keep holding a spot because of "what could have been or might be." I'll say it again, we need to be in it to win it... the Mellon Collie crap isn't cutting it.

I am putting everyone on notice, my patience with ML and his staff, and mostly the front office, is wearing thin. Correct the damn mistakes, OT who gets beat because of technique multiple times... DB who gets blown off the ball with worse habits than HS kids, and last but not least... You bitch at Kraft for ball security and then run ball security drills with your WR???

Hey! Genius coaching staff, they have to catch the damn ball first. Stop coddling them. Let Hobbs light their ass up.

Signed,

You know all is right in the world when the "old ball coach" comes out in Mark. Football season has arrived.

There was video, he looked pretty fast still. Also I would not go cutting or trading some of these guys because injuries are going to happen and they’re going to need these guys at some point. We finished the season with Malik Heath as our number 1 WR. I’m happy to keep Watson around this year and see what happens.
