that doesn't mean that they didn't go all in. just because they had all those players before they signed brady doesn't have anything to do with it. they had a multi-year plan and they stuck to it. over a period of two seasons, they built a championship team. the packers have had how many years since the last super bowl? and they are still looking years down the road?
TB has lots of guys who were still on rookie deals. GB no one is taking less meaning GB is paying record setting deals which means you better be hitting home runs on draft picks and unlike TB GB has not been drafting high in rounds.

And how was GB supposed to go “all in” the last 2 years? Their multi year plan included drafting Winston #1. And guess what it didn’t work so they had the cap space to sign a FA named Brady. That multi year plan also included changing HC’s and staff. How many years did they draft top 10-15? Yeah GB neglected the defense for years. That’s no secret and that’s on the FO.
I would not say GB has neglected defense. In fact they have spent a lot of draft capital on defense it's just they have done poorly drafting that defense.

you can't even look at all those crappy years before ariens was hired. the draft picks in those years weren't much different from ours. ariens was hired at the same time as lafleur. he took a team that was consistently at the bottom of their division to a super bowl win in two years - and one of those years was wit a horrible qb. the packers already had one of the top offenses in the nfl (the top offense of 2020), and all they needed was a better defense. and just because that's not a secret doesn't mean it's not a legitimate point.

3rd no. Supply and demand and QB’s generally get overdrafted
Though we thought they guy that went ot Indy could be a 1st round talent he went third round. I am thinking GB could have sat in round 2 or moved up slightly in round 2 and got Love. No matter what Love was a reach.

That’s valid. But certain positions have been

I do agree there. DL has been negelcted outside of Clark the highest pick they have spent on DL in the recent years was Adams who was a 3rd round and ended up a bust.

And guess what, who was the GM since 2014? Yeah same guy who’s there now. And Licht was on the hot seat big time down there before last year. And what was the difference? Brady.

Yeah there was talk on Sirius radio saying that if there was talk that the GM down there was not even going to make it out of the season before they hired Ariens that things were so bad but the owner decided to give him another chance.
